In 1676, dutch scientist Antonie van Leeuwenhoek created a microscope and observed the world of microorganisms for the first time.
He was fascinated by the small, single-celled organisms he found in a drop of rain water and termed them “animalcules” which translates in Latin to “little animal.”
Leeuwenhoek’s term “animalcule” is no longer used, which I personally think is a shame, but it inspired this sticker design!
Size: 2.56" x 3.20" inches
